About us

Just a dog and her loyal owners in search of fair seas and palm trees

Monster, Skipper

The “Monster” behind “Sea Monster.” My face is on the boat (and the dinghy), so I’m kind of a big deal. I’ve spent periods of my life as a country dog, a city dog, a suburban dog, and a jet-setter. It felt like the time was right to become a boat dog. My primary role on board is to keep the humans in line and let them know when more treats are needed. I’m also the chief lookout, courtesy greeter, and designated lizard chaser.

Jordan, Admiral

I’m taking a break from my gig as an actuarial consultant on land to pursue my dream of living on (and mostly) under water. Being the original mastermind behind this crazy idea, it’s so exciting to finally see it coming to life. My roles on-board include: interior designer, engine checker, mast climber, and dolphin spotter.

Matt, Captain

Moonlighting as the captain by night, while I keep my day job as a software engineer. My main responsibilities are to not crash the boat and lift heavy stuff. I’m also learning to be a mechanic, plumber, and electrician – Jordan definitely didn’t tell me how much “work” would be involved in this adventure. I’m along for the ride and enjoying it all the same though!

Please stay tuned to follow along with our adventures. If you notice gaps between blog posts that’s times (like hurricane season) where we are both working full time and neglecting the blog. While sailing, we try to keep things *mostly* up to date. Send us a note, or leave a comment – we’d love to hear from you!
